Just like a car, there is a certain amount of regular maintenance that you need to keep up with when you purchase a direct to garment printer. Thankfully with AnaJet printers, we keep that maintenance to a minimum.
One of the regular maintenance jobs you need to keep up with is the flushing of the print lines. Think of it as an oil change for your digital garment printer. This is a very simple process that you should learn and become familiar with as an owner. It doesn’t take too long either!
The steps are simple and straightforward. To start, you’ll need 8 cleaning fluid cartridges, a handful of lint free wipes, and a screwdriver. Also, before you get started, you should double check that your waste ink tank is empty.
Now that you’re prepped and ready to begin, the first thing you’ll need to do is remove the print head cage. This step is done by unscrewing a couple screws. Next, you’ll need to turn off the cartridge readers and remove all ink cartridges in your machine.
Next, you’ll need to dry flush the purge lines and print lines. Once you do this, you’ll move onto the cleaning solution flush. And finally, you’ll dry flush the purge lines.
You’re almost done now. You’ll fill your purge lines next. Once this is done, you’ll do some basic maintenance for your printer. Release your print carriage, clean your maintenance station, clean your wiper blade, wipe down your print heads and empty your waste ink tank. Finally, you’ll fill in all your ink lines.
Now this may seem like a lot of text worth of directions, but the process is very simple and easy to learn. But on the chance you are more of a visual learner, we are including links to an online video tutorial that walks you through the entire process, step by step.
